NATYNA, Daphne

Daphne grew up in Minitonas, Man. She joined Wycliffe in 2001. Serving in the Calgary office for 12 years, she managed the mail room, provided reception relief and worked in various other roles. She also spent six months in Brazil serving with SIL, Wycliffe’s key partner organization.

Since 2019, Daphne has successfully offered a Scripture Engagement Training Course for the people of the Ndop Plain in Cameroon, Africa. The first class graduated in May 2022 and the course continues to provide training for the other languages on the Ndop Plain. In November 2021, Daphne became the Scripture Engagement Co-ordinator for SIL Cameroon. The SE Training Course has also begun in the far north where SIL Cameroon is working. Seeing people engage with the Scriptures in the language that they value most brings her great joy.
