Although Wanda grew up in Washington state, she now calls Langley, B.C. home. Her husband, John, was from Vancouver, B.C. They met in Nairobi, Kenya and were married in January 2001. John went to his heavenly home in 2015.
Wanda began working with Wycliffe immediately following graduation from college. She began in Mexico and later transferred to Sudan. She feels privileged to have served in a wide range of work, including language development, a bilingual education program, facilitation of a mother-tongue translation program, training nationals for Bible translation and co-ordination of language programs.
Since 2006, she has been teaching literacy courses at the Canada Institute of Linguistics. Her biggest joy is seeing her students go out to participate in the task of making God’s Word accessible, so lives can be transformed in many countries around the world
