D., Bota

Growing up in a minority language group in Asia, Bota has personally experienced how lives in her local community were transformed as people were able to understand translated Scriptures in their mother tongue. Bota came to Canada in 2007 to study accounting and management, and God opened the door for her to join Wycliffe in 2008. Since then, she has lived in Calgary and is using her skills to serve at the home office. Bota sees God’s call on her life as she works as a finance specialist to ensure Wycliffe Canada is thriving financially, and that Wycliffe members working globally have the financial services they need to succeed. With the entire Bible now available in her language, Bota can attest to the powerful experience of reading Scripture in her own language. Her daily prayer is for God’s Word to reach people of every culture, language and nation.
