Naaman and Lorae and their two girls are on Makira Island, one of the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific, working closely with a local language group. Bible translation, literacy, and the equipping of local workers are all part of their job. Naaman’s degrees in linguistics and anthropology mean that he does most of the technical language work. Lorae homeschools their two daughters and uses her experience as a registered nurse to help care for the medical needs of her family and the people they serve.
