REED, Martin and Alice

Martin and Alice are based in Calgary, Alberta with their children Grace (4) and Kai (1). Martin serves as an Indigenous Church Engagement Advisor, connecting Indigenous communities in Canada with Wycliffe’s translation and language development resources, as well as facilitating “kingdom friendships” with non-Indigenous churches. Alice is a Bible translation consultant-in-training reviewing and approving completed translations for publication, primarily in Nigeria, South Asia, Canada, and West Africa.

Prior to this, the Reeds worked in northern Manitoba and Quebec, partnering with First Nations church leaders to create Scripture products and promote the use of Indigenous languages in church, school, and community life.

Alice holds a M.A. in biblical exegesis and linguistics from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Martin holds a M.A. in language and culture studies, with a concentration in literacy, from Dallas International University.
